Applying a Labor Difficulty Factor to an Assigned Unit

To apply a Labor Difficulty Factor to an assigned unit

The Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box lets you apply a Labor Difficulty Factor to an assigned compatible unit to reflect the extra labor involved in installing or removing the facility represented by the unit.

In calculating costs for the unit, Bentley OpenUtilities Designer will increment its standard Labor Cost value by the value of the Labor Difficulty Factor. For more information about this property, see Labor Difficulty Factor.

A Labor Difficulty Factor can also be applied to work locations and assigned features. See Applying a Labor Difficulty Factor to Work Locations and Applying a Labor Difficulty Factor to Assigned Features.

  1. From the list of assigned facilities and units displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the unit that requires adjustment and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Compatible Unit Assignment Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Labor Difficulty box, type a value or select from the list of values and click OK.
